Your title, oasis of freedom, resonates with me deeply. When my husband asked me why I wanted to leave California for Florida, the first thing that came into my mind was...freedom. These past two years have just heightened my resolve to not submit to absurd ritual enslavements. The other reasons were ...warm water, Pittsburgh childhood friends retiring to Florida, closer to my sister, room to explore by car, Latin music among others. Bizarrely, I love heat and humidity and land that is flat pleases me somehow!

As a Florida native, love the natural beauty of the keys, hate the fact that over the past 20 years Key West has become an overpriced tourist trap where people who work the hardest serving food, drinks, hotel staff, etc... can't afford housing on the island. Enjoy watching your videos of the keys from north Florida!

I used to live in Key West. Every time I go back I bump into Kenny Chesney, and always get to hear him play some of the local bars, which is cool. He's a genuine, and very sweet guy...

The Florida Keys and especially Key West just speak to me.

Been to a lot of places in the Caribbean, Costa Rica. Heading to Curacao in March but I absolutely LOVE the Keys.
