Hi son. The finished concrete should be “above” the soil line and should be beveled so that water flows away from the post. The soil you put back over the concrete allow water to sit against the post and promotes rot. But hey, “That’s how ya learn!”

What is in the orange conduit? It's barely below ground level. We use 240V mains electric in Australia. Wouldn't want to put my spade through it. Great rhino digger by the way.
