I live in Cincinnati - there was so much negativity locally about the Reds after their performance in August. I never once doubted them. Sure, starting pitching is an issue. But these guys NEVER give up. They have so many comeback wins. It’s inspiring. Go Reds!!!

I live in Denmark and can afford to have two team favorites, one in the AL and one in the NL... and guess which two I have been rooting for since 1996? These two games have given me all the things that baseball otherwise gives me.. perspective on life. I am the ex-pat president of the Danish Baseball Federation and grew up in Ohio watching the Reds with my mom and dad.. my heartthrob favorite (even last year ugh) I was doing research at UW in Seattle during the 90s and frequented the Mariners and Griffey Jr enough to endear me to them, especially the 2001 season when I came back briefly. I have a biased opinion but will just say these two teams have the most fight in their respective leagues. AND if you look at it, as one Red's announcer said the Ms are the "Reds of the West" These two teams have so much history and recent trades overlapping each other: David Bell played for the Ms when I lived in Seattle.. the Griffey legacy is another example. Dan Wilson of M's fame started out with the Reds in 1992-3 and Lou Pinella was manager for both as power teams. (Dan announced the game last night for the Seattle side. I have seen both games twice now, once with Ms announcers and once with Reds announcers.) I have LOVED the Reds Rookie Fun "America's Team" in May-July and they seem to be coming back again.. Rally Reds! Although I hate that Ms are now 2 and 5 the last 7 games they too are still in it and I have no doubt they will end up in the playoffs. BUT my next great fear is: WHAT IF THE REDS AND M'S PLAY IN THE WORLD SERIES?? I don't think it would happen (because of Reds' need for pitching) but I would simply go SCHIZO!! I LOVE my baseball teams in America and want them to go all the way in 2023 and or 2024!

As an Aussie - I have purchased a DLC Reds shirt. Love this kid since he stepped up. Sure, strikes out a bunch and has been picked off a few times but he’s just an excitement and the reds to watch.

Big credit to Julio though. I guess the highlights don’t show it but seems like he’s the Shohei to the angels. Does all he can but the rest of the team sometimes doesn’t get on base to benefit from his bombs he hits

M's have lost all of their August momentum. They are 2-5 since Aug 29 and fading.
After all of that hype and national press attention, the Mariners could find themselves without a playoff spot for 2023.

Needed to get Marte out in the 8th there after going ahead 0-2. Can't be too mad at Topa since he's been spectacular all season and this is just one bad game. Really tough way to lose though.
