Kirchhoff's Circuit Laws help us understand how current and potential difference acts in circuits. We use them to show how current acts when it enters a node or a junction and how the loop rule show that potential difference is equal at all points of a parallel circuit. Rather than labeling the current going through R2 as I1-I2, would it have also been acceptable to label it as I3?
