Let's apply Kirchhoff's voltage law and Kirchhoff's current law in solving a two-loop circuit!
KCL states that the total current entering a node = total current exiting a node, charge conservation!
KVL states that the total voltage change in a closed-loop = 0, energy conservation!
Using these laws, we build equations for current and solve them algebraically.

The directions of the Currents in different loop as considered by is wrong because the flow of current in any circuit is always from Anode (The positive terminal) to --> the Cathode (The negative terminal) | Your explanation just made this law look like a Simple one.
