I’m late diagnosed autistic and people have always liked me because of my authenticity and honesty, but I’ve never had much success at work in spite of having a high value digital skill set. What about when putting ourselves out there makes others around us envious, and they start to try to isolate us from the group and sabotage us? In every environment I go into, I seem to encounter at least one of these types of people - and then from there that person starts turning others against me. And usually when I start to show my skills more, more people get jealous or uncomfortable. Even the ones who initially seemed to get along with me. When they discover I have a talent in some area, then they do not show support, which makes me suspect it is envy. Am I supposed to just keep shining? But won’t that make it worse, and lead to the group ganging up on me?

Wow, this is perfect. For some time now I have been going back and forth with myself about content creation. I kept saying I don’t want to be so transparent it’s not what’s “popular” so I created a new persona gave her name and said I will operate from her. It’s like putting on a mask. Thank you for this honest feedback that most will never give us. I've worked in the corporate world for over 10 years. This is all vital and accurate information. I don't know what to do about engaging personality types that are not showing ANY fairness. I've been put in situations to fail blatantly, and was still able to excel. Even with that the leader still tried to scapegoat because of information he chose not to brush up on (that all on the project had access to well before major meetings). How can I get that person to like me if its obvious that they've decided who they want to give the promotion to and they're at the point where they're flat out belittling everything I do even if managers above them in rank have applauded me? I often have no issues until someone who is a direct lower level manager becomes intimidated by my skills. They're the ones that get to make direct decisions.
