That moment when you realize the cheap gauges are spot on when you said the were inaccurate because you missed the detail of C vs F 😂😂

Wooow, you are the best teacher. Please teach us more about how to use a digital gauge to check a pressure.

great video just an observation, the cheap gauge is measuring in C, whereas the other in F. So, 50 F is around 10 C.

a compound gauge is only useful for the listed Freon on the set you can use a PT chart to tell you what your pressure should be for the Freon in use

It is a good practice to have something protecting your eyes whenever you are working with any high pressure gasses or liquids. Stuff breaks and accidents happen.

I like my Elitech Pt-500 and Pt-800. I would recommend them today. Only time will tell about tomorrow. If the last a couple years it will be worth it compared to SMANS

6:20 Brother, they're the same. One is Celsius, and the other is Fahrenheit. 55F is 12.78C.

I always used Yellow Jacket, Robin Aire, and for R12 & R134 I used Snap On manifold gauges. The Snap On gauges were oil filled and stupid expensive. I used a TIF charging scale, and had Robin Aire charging cylinder scales. I am old. I stopped doing HVAC when the EcoNazi Persecution Agency mandated using refrigerant recovery systems. I vented lots worse things into the air than R12 and R22.

Thank you for your videos; I like them because you explain what you are doing well. You have to know what you are doing for sure, but it is not rocket science; like other videos, others make it sound.

Question for you about purging air out of the manifold. When you open the line at the manifold and refrigerant purges the air out of the line. But isn’t there some trapped air in the manifold between the line connection and the valve/gauge itself? I am assuming that if there is, it is considered an acceptable amount. Likewise I am sure if there is latent air in the manifold it is only a fraction when compared to what is in the line. If that is the case wouldn’t be better to purge each line through suction/refrigerant by opening the manifold valve instead of disconnecting the line.

Great video! You should do a video on how to vacuum and recharge a car.
