Building a Reverse Delay Audio Effect in Gen/Max - Gen~ Tutorial

Показать описание
A tutorial on creating a randomized reverse delay effect using the Gen~ object/platform inside MAX. I've been trying to use Gen more and more recently and this is part of me figuring it out. The principles I look at here are great for learning some of the audio-rate flow issues in Gen and sampling from a buffer in Gen.

This is a redo of an earlier tutorial that was incomplete!

Thank god for max/msp tutorials. Even though I get to understand the logic while you are explaining it, I wouldn´t be able to come up with this on my own. Great tutorial!

Awesome tutorial! I just had a cool chance to work with Dana Jessen and I love the new project you two put out!

This video is incredibly helpful as I'm taking my first class in Max and wanted to do something very similar to this. Thank you being so in-depth through this tutorial, it really helped me learn alot!

Any recommendations how to implement the windowing in gen? I tried a few different approaches as well as in RNBO but no luck so far.

Awesome! I'm so curious about this kind of software. How long does it take for an reasonably intelligent person to be able to understand it enough to create something meaningful (not just tiny things)? Thanks!
