That's funny that the VW CEO thinks that VW is advantaged because of VW 'Quality'. VW consistently has problems with its electronics that other EV makers don't have. He knows this.

When will Tesla Vision provide what the ultrasonic sensors did on older vehicles? Got my 2023 Model 3 without the ultrasonic sensors, and am slightly annoyed I have to wait for the “update” to get what was standard on older vehicles. Overall, love the car of course.

Price cut is one thing, Do they have the car to sale is another thing. I went to Toyota and Hyundai dealership. They told me I have to wait for at least 6 months to 2 years. Some dealer don't even take my order, and still asking me to "buy" the rust proofing, extended warranty, and window etching on top of the MSRP. What are they thinking about Tesla? Tesla can get me the car within one week with the lowered price is unbeatable now.

Best guess - Tesla doesn't like Ioniq6 being tops in efficiency for that class and the model 3 Highland project will introduce a new level of efficiency. Since Hyundai remains extremely production limited, this will be interesting to watch.

I love my Mach E. I test drove and compared it against the Model y and 3 and it seemed better built and more comfortable. What I don't love about the Mach E is losing 40% of my range in the winter since there is no heat pump. It's the main reason I am considering moving to a Tesla.

The redesign for model 3 and y is due to cost of insurance claims, as Elon pointed out in the last call. A small design change in the bumper design means less costly to repair after an accident. That’s also why no more sensors, radar and all the other things in the bumper. A bumper replacement costs $2000-3000 today, cause of all the sensors. Therefore, a camera mounted on the windshield does the same and won’t get damaged in fender bender. So since tesla is an overall company including penetrating insurance industry, it makes sense.

If Tesla let owners *transfer their FSD* to a new car they would get plenty of trades. Owners who want to keep Full Self Driving don't want to take a $15, 000 hit when buying a new Tesla.

the Chevy Bolt has an excellent regen. braking feel and action. Drives great. I’m Not putting down Tesla’s, great cars, but another less expensive option for those who don’t need an expensive rocket ship, and don’t actually drive long distances much.
