Nigeria's electricity tariff increase by 40%

The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission has implemented the first phase of a multi-year tariff increase system by enforcing a 40% rise in the cost of using the state utility. Nigeria's power grid currently supplies just over 4800 Megawatts of electricity to an estimated population of 177 million people. Here is Sophia Adengo with more.
