Meh, I feel like most of these are just describing the character. Most people who obsess over Sidon are mega simps and ship him with Link harder than they believe that the sun is real

In defense of Revali and his general dickheaded-ness.

Revali is the only champion to come from absolutely nothing, Mipha was born the heir to the Zora’s domain, and Urbosa and Daruk were already the leaders of their respective regions, Urbosa’s army of warrior race Gerudo respected her, and Daruk’s Gorons viewed him like a celebrity. Revali, on the other hand, is only ever shown gloating, or working. His ability wasn’t something he was born with, like all the others are, and you can see him honing his talent and training relentlessly in the DLC memories. Out of all the people there, he’s the only one who actually had to fight for this status, the others were all but guaranteed to get it. And so after all that work, all that careful practice, he happens to develop an ego, because he thinks he had to work harder than the others to get to this position, which could very well be the truth. Put yourself in his shoes for a moment, and think about how that must feel, to put in that much work, then to be told you’ll be serving two 17 year olds, the one you’ll be working closest to, is practically mute. All of that struggle, to be placed under a young adult who barely ever talks, doesn’t give you the gratification you deserve, who has no special abilities except that shiny sword on his back. With no way for Link to explain himself, Revali comes to the conclusion that Link, too, was given that sword, by some birthright. He’s never able to know that Link also had to relentlessly train to be deemed worthy to wield the master sword, and it feels unfair. Revali is a regular bird living amongst the privileged elite, who he doesn’t understand and never will. His fear of what he doesn’t understand is what leads to his downfall, the climb to champion was all him, but at the summit, he’s too self-absorbed and afraid of the other champions to ask for help, honestly of the champions I find him to be the most 3-dimensional.
