★ Ukrainian (украї́нська мо́ва) is an East Slavic language of the Indo-European language family. It is the native language of about 40 million people and the official state language of Ukraine. Written Ukrainian uses a variant of the Cyrillic script.

Both sound good. One of East Slavic languages should have been the international language instead of English, then people all around the world would communicate much more easier

I am a third generation Ukrainian Canadian (with some Russian ancestry as well), I noticed many similarities between the languages but lots of different wording and pronunciation. I find Ukrainian is the more relaxed version of Russian 😂

так это самые похожие языки. безусловно множество слов одинаковые их просто не включили сюда, ну а пару букв не сильно играют тут роли

Не пойму, если по украински "кот" это "кiт", то как будет "кит" (который в море плавает) ? Так и будет кит? Тогда как различают произношение слов кит и кіт? Ведь украинская i читается как русская 'и'. Или вот еще. Если по украински "бабочка" это "метелик", то как будет мотылек?
