Admired Pastor Gary since forever. The problem I have is that the most righteous candidate is on the side opposing the most righteous policies. We've been groaning for 8 years, if not more, and there's no change in the outlook, given our turning our backs to Scripture. You can not legislate salvaion, especially after the Nation passed the 'righteous ramp' probably decades ago. Thy Kingdom come.

What is sad is that when I read up since 40 million evangelicals will not vote. If even 50% of them voted, it could change this country for the better

I pray about it. God gave me the good sense to look for the good and the evil. I do not knowingly do evil. I'm not sure on the iffy part so I ask God. To show me. Lead me the path He wants me to help lead others. I may not like either one running but I'm voting for the best one we have running. At least he does love America. Neither understand about rural.

It is because of Christians NOT getting involved with government that makes evil availabile to enter in! The world can't tolerate somebody who is mourning over sinfulness. The world wants to bypass sin altogether and continue to convince itself that it's all right. God chooses the Leadership of a country. Let's remember GOD'S WILL BE DONE. Not our will. He chooses bad and good. Is. 45:5-7. He creates Light and Darkness He brings prosperity and Calamity. His will be done. Our job is to be examples to the world.

I think the church must not look to the government to do the job of making us a moral nation. These pastors place a tremendous emphasis on how we vote and all that does is to lay aside our real mission, divide us and cause hated instead of love. These pastors torture the scriptures. "When the righteous are in authority the people rejoice". This verse opposes the chant of "policy not personality". The verse says the character of the leader is all important. But Pastor Hamrick sneaks in his own addition saying "or at the least, the most righteous policies". In the hands of an unrighteous man, policy is there to convince us to vote for him and once in office, will do as he pleases.

I understand that viewpoint, but that assumes fair elections, and I don't think those have existed for some time, if ever.
