The world can't really handle somebody who's poor in spirit because the world lives in a state of pride, in a state of self-promotion and ego-substantiation. The world can't tolerate somebody who is mourning over sinfulness. The world wants to bypass sin altogether and continue to convince itself that it's all right. The world can't tolerate meekness; it honors pride, and the world can't tolerate somebody who knows he's nothing and seeks something that can only be given as a gift. The world says that we have the right to everything because we've earned it. The world knows little about mercy, the world knows nothing about purity, and the world has never learned how to make peace

IMHO as a Christian and avid Bible reader, I propose a more careful interpretation of how “we” should vote.
Of course, murder is forbidden in the 10 commandments and a generally accepted moral imperative for most humans regardless of religious beliefs.
Therefore I am not in favor of elective abortion as a form of birth control. There are many options to prevent pregnancy available (at least right now) and adoption is an option. There is no specific reference to “abortion” as an elective medical procedure in the Bible.
To assimilate the entirety of the Bible, from the Old Testament (Torah) to the New Testament was actually done within the Gospel Scriptures by Jesus the Christ himself.
His answer is religious leaders regarding the most important law:
Love God. Love other people as much as you love yourself.
Jesus consistently stood in defense of the underprivileged in society: women, immigrants, financially poor, medically disabled, etc.
My serious question to my fellow Christians: why has abortion become a more dominant political issue than taking proper care of other vulnerable populations? Why has protection of the unborn’s right to life become more important than the woman’s right to her own life and health?
Why would you vote based upon THIS issue rather than examining the integrity of the candidates and the party platform proposed policies?
Integrity matters. Freedom matters.
Democracy matters.
Voting with a Christian conviction should be based on many more moral values than just this one.

The bible says you should be punished for wearing clothes made of 2 materials. It says you can sell your daughters into servitude. And don't get me going on the bible many many times telling us that slavery is fine. Yet no specific mentioning of abortion. Seems the hypocrisy is strong in this group. We can say, cultish. Read your bible if you must. All that we would ask is that you understand the bible.
