🤓learnin bout funds! The differences are subtle to the casual observer, but now we're educated! I love ETFs. There's very little downside and there are so many options to choose from. I particularly like the funds that focus in certain sectors like tech or energy as a nice half-way point between general market funds and individual stocks. I'm pretty bullish on tech and renewable energy long term, but individual companies are pretty ephemeral in those sectors, so I'd hate to pick the wrong one and miss out on the success of other companies in the sector.

PS you need to get back on that secret comment game lol. We're so lost without it!

I'm confused, what would be the incentive for investing in an index fund over an ETF? From what you've said it seems like ETFs are the same as index funds, just more flexible.

@Brendan Evan  Hey buddy. Great content. I'm considering looking to start investing in an robo-advisor like Betterment or Weathfront as a beginner. At the same time I want to actually learn the stock market, and like reviews on M1 finance. Whats the difference. Which would you recommend?

I think ETF's is what i lean towards. Only bad thing is the fee i have to pay every time i buy. But maybe i should not buy so often, and rather buy many when i first buy. Maybe then i getting more for the money? :)
