Solution, get the modding and coding community to take a hand in fixing the game, they all have great ideas and know how to implement them, and I'm sure valve wouldn't have objections to the community of a game keeping it alive even if they aren't, because it's just more money they could make on it...

Tf2 was the first ever fps game i've played and its still my favorite game but i haven't gotten a chanse to play the game for 3 years and i miss it hope the game doesn't die so i could have fun in the future if i ever get the chance to play it
