I've recently discovered these and use them instead of red Rawlplugs, and have to say they are brilliant in concrete and masonry so wtf are they being used in wood for!

These actually work really really well in concrete or brick applications.

Although they are also made for hollow walls, they are simply not used correctly in this video. Apart from using too aggressive screws in the first place, the first one works as intended, second one doesn't because the wood is too thick, that's why you can buy a longer version of the plugs, third one doesn't work either because now the wood is simply too thin. Just read the datasheets provided by the manufacturer and you have a rock solid solution

Fischer DUO power plugs are the best plugs I have ever used and I would 100% RECOMMEND everyone to use them.

You should:
a. learn how to write and spell
b. learn which screws to use in what situation
c. when you're done with a and b, then learn how to use these plugs and for which situations are they meant to be.

As someone who works for Fischer this is the way they are supposed to work in hollow substrates. I have gotten loads up to 1 kn

The third is mounted in to thin plywood. First two does the job like they should.

Probably the best wall plugs I've used, superior to the standard red or brown things . Why you would want to use them in wood is beyond me.

Those plugs are designed for the internationally known massive german walls, not for thin wood sheets.

They can hold heavy weights in a wide variety of materials but their main purpose is for brick and concrete walls. They can be used for drywalls but there are better alternatives for them.

Fischer DuoPlast are my favorite plugs, i‘ve installed hundreds of them, before i‘ve used TOX Tri and TOX Trika but they don‘t perform nearly as well as Fischer DuoPlast.
