You're actually missing the European part of Turkey. The Balkans end at Istanbul.

It is debatable if Romania is part of the Balkans. Maybe not. The generally accepted geographical definition of the Balkan peninsula covers only the lands south or east of the right bank of the river Sava and of Danube since the confluence of the Sava in it (characteristics which Romania has not). Sometimes, Romania is considered balkanic mainly for historical reasons (because the two principalities south and east of the Carpatian mountain range -- namely Wallachia and united Moldova -- which later became the first two constituent regions of the modern Kingdom of Romania had for a long time been vassal to the Ottoman Empire, a fact that in someone's opininion enables them to be considered balkanic). But in my opinion Romania should be considered more a Carpathian (or Carpatho-Danubian) geographical region and country, rather than a Balkanic one.
