Royal Enfield Interceptor 650: Free Flow Exhaust Sound ONLY

A video by popular request. No chat in this one, just the sounds of the Hitchcocks free-flowing headers and the Scorpion Red Power end cans. I personally think this is one of the best free-flowing systems for the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650.

• TEC 2-2 Big Bore (45 mm) headers
• S&S Slip-On Mufflers (baffles and high performance catalytic converters removed for free flow)
• K&N High Performance Air Filter
• Stage 2 Air eliminator
• Booster Plug
• PowerTronics FuelX Lite Autotuner
• NGK Iriduim IX spark plugs
• NGK Racing Ignition Wires
• Hitchcock’s 16 tooth front sprocket

Had the TEC 2 into 1 system installed - the bike ran hot and although there was an increase in torque, the sound was... hmm. lacking something. Based upon your vid I bought the exact same set up (exhaust wise) and OMG WOWZER!! Similar incease in torque as the TEC but the overall smoothness throughout the rev range is significantly noticeable, over the TEC 2-1, and the exhaust note... rminds me of my old Norton Commando but more so. FYI I have the fuel booster installed also. Keep up the vids.. I will try and post some of my REI also.. Thanks WM!

I just got my interceptor... Finally after waiting months. I am interested in the Scorpion pipes but honestly am not much of a mechanic. I thought I saw you install them in a video back in the day but I can't find it. Are they difficult to install? Cheers. Love your videos.

I have a very similar set up with the same headers with S&S slip on silencers, sounds incredible unfortunately the sound doesn’t come through on the video. I have several times had cars pull up next to me at traffic lights, wind down their windows and tell me that my bike sounds lovely.

Thanks for sharing. I really enjoy the genuine discret low noise of my interceptor. Noisy exhausts seem to be pleasant for some riders, although I don't undestand it, I fully respect it. On the other hand, I understand how unpleasant it is for others having to endure it.

Very nice! If money is a bit tight, the universal cafe racer types off eBay ($100 here on Oz) sound quite good, rather loud! I like 'em. And fit is also quite good. Just a thought😉

Thank you mate!! I cant tell u how many cycle vids I see of ppl doing exhaust with music playing over it.. Is the power OK for the meteor 350 driving around? I dont want anything fast but now thinking of waiting for the meteor 650 I think the inteceptor is too tall for me Im 5'7

Hitchcocks made my Interceptor roar, so glad they came out with them. Does the Red Scorpion have a cat in them? My S&S does have a small one inside them but they still pass a lot of air through them and sound great. And also have the DB's in on long rides, because it can be a little bit too much at highway speeds for longer then a hour. Sounds great Mate Cheers

Interestingly good combustion.
1) Would that free-flow system pop on deceleration if not running the Booster Plug?
2) What kind of spark plug and length of spark gap are you using?

with the baffles in is the full free flow system still too loud? im wondering if i should just replace the exhaust tips or go full system. but dont want it to be too loud

Hi! This isnt related to this video. But to the bike mods.
You mentioned cutting your handlebars a bit, why did u do that?
And how to determine the width of handle bar that would be ideal for a person?

Wear foam earplugs on the highway. High frequency sound can make you tired and also the pipes won't bother you.

Hi..any engine re-mapping needed? Or just chuck 'em on? For these or any after market Interceptor pipes really.... cheers
