Actually it can use the metal rim to measure your heart rate so it's probably still measuring your heart rate.

Bro if you’re in the shower, if it’s hot water, and if the towel is wet it will do that because of the tem

try letting loose of the watch or strapping it on the towel. Mine picks up heartbeat when I hold it like you without a towel. Added feature if you ask me.

Mine sucks too. All of them. I have had four replacements so far in less than a year. This most recent replacement is crap too. Everyone of them the same thing. Nothing tracks  consistently and when it does it's so inaccurate it's useless. They refused to give me a refund so I just keep shipping the crap back in hopes I get lucky and get the one that slipped through the cracks and actually functions as advertised. Hasn't happened yet. The Sense if advertised honestly would be described as grossly over priced novelty item fit for a stocking stuffer for a 6 year old. According to mine I'm a vampire with no heart beat who sleeps two or three hours a night if at all. And as for the Health Metrics, none of those track at all when the watch doesn't track your sleep. Not data across the board. It wasn't any better when I had the premium that was being wasted anyway because the replacements were in transit so often. I manually check my pulse during aggressive weight lifting exercise sessions and count 124 to 138 BPM. The watch indicates 88 to 90 BPM. The phone gimmick is a joke. Maybe useful in the silence of a sensory deprivation tank. Calories in vs Calories out is such an  outdated  antiquated myth with no record of proof based on any studies anywhere on earth since the beginning of time to support it. It does keep time though. For well over $300 it does keep time. But so do the disposable watches they sell at dollar stores. I have had two other models from Fitbit over the last 5 years that worked fine. They recalled my Ionic so I tried the Sense. Again. And again. And again. And again once more. What a waste of money and time.

Sense is trash. Correct it doesn’t track or read correctly. Heck! If my heart rate was as high as it often s shows— while sitting- I’d stroke.
