Bro thanks, I didn't even have to jump on the ledge and do the stuff. All I did was jump back on the bridge and he fell lmao

I just did this today (8/8/24) and it still works. If you can get him to where he seems stuck just stand on the other side of the wall and he will eventually fall off. No jumping on ledges required

8/9/23 still works, in fact you can just sit on the edge of the rock and wait for him to jump at you from behind, then just jump to the bridge, he falls right off and dies.

I jumped onto ledge, went the wrong way and died but the death screen was on long enough for him to also jump off

Still works today!
I made sure the night cavalry was near me at the cliff edge. I went around the tree and ensured I slowed down when the night cavalry was further away from me. I faced the cliff and when it was about to do it's jump attack, I jumped to the bridge and it fell off the edge.
It's all about getting the timing correct. Not how many tries you do. No need to jump off to the ledge and risk dying.

It still works up to this day, but I do want to remind that at some occasions the cavalry does get stuck at a rock and then turns around to the bridge to chase after you... So be sure to take the paths that are not blocked by rock.

I was struggling with the poisoning method and I managed to do this pretty easily and I even fell from the bridge and the dude followed me to his death :D. Thanks a lot it was really helpful.

I actually fell trying to bait him, and he fell after me. I got the ashes of war on respawn, and the runes were waiting for me near the ledge

I usually love not cheesing enemies in the game, but I love seeing a boss’s entire health at go from red to yellow. And these guys are pretty easy to beat anyway
