Brahe wasn't the victim of a bladder condition. He was murdered with mercurial salts by his student Johannes Kepler. Yeah, that Kepler! They dug up Brahe's body and examined his hair. It turns out he was hit with mercury about a week before he died, but as he began to recover he was hit again a few hours before his death. This meant his killer was present to take note of Brahe's current state of health and could react accordingly. Kepler then disappeared with 40 years of astronomical data that Brahe had recorded after having built better equipment than was available in that time! A few years later Kepler comes out with his laws of planetary motion, convenient.
