Just to let you know, once you open coconut if you put it in the freezer for 10 to 15 mts, coconut halves comes out rt away with a butter knife

Being south indian breaking a coconut is something we do for fun for mother as a little boy. Not bcos she can't bcos we liked to drink the water. This is the same as we do but it takes just 3-5 strikes. For us coconut is a staple requirement in our currys and chutneys. Or just snack the flesh or milk it.
