I never thought that I'd hear anyone sing this song as good as Jay Black of Jay And The Americans! But Gene has done it!

I'm a big fan of Mr Pitney. He doesn't have the vocal range of Jay Black(who was trained as a cantor) but, Gene used his range to convey the same emotions. I can't say which version I enjoy more. Whoever Cara Mia is, she should be honored by these two extremely talented men 🤣❤❤

Much better than Jay, as we hear Gene's true soprano, rather than Jay's switch to a pseudo soprano trill. Play one after another and the difference shows.
