What if France won WW2? | Alt History

An alternate history of France in which the French never surrender in World War 2 and then try to maintain their empire!

At first, I thought, not much difference. But, with the French fleet and Algeria, yes, you're right, France could have remained in the war, and made a big contribution to the Allied effort, especially in North Africa, and later, in Italy. OK, I think the Balkans is a stretch, but, maybe. It is at least plausible.

I do think WW2 would have been shorter but don't you think France would have been more economically devasted with German terror? Also with France a larger contributor to the war effort I think they would have asked for more payment to Germany and would have annexed Saarbrücken for the coal at least.

I know one thing. If France defeated Germany in WW2 my grandfather wouldn’t have gone to Europe. He would have gone to fight in the Pacific. Hopefully that part of the war would have been finished off a lot sooner.

France would have probably acted more like a middle ground with england and usa would have much less power. Just an idea, feel free to extrapolate

I think that in this scenario germany would be offered köningsburg as they were in our world however they rejected it in our timeline as they were focused on re integrating east germany so they would accept it in this timeline and would also become europes strongest economy and have the potential to be strongest european countey militarily and would be ahead of Japan in terms of economic power.

I believe that in this scenario, if the Germans really punished France as you said, France would take at least small parts of the Rhineland, at the very least the Saarland.

yeahh maybe wouldnt u think Germany would still send in more divisions into libya to try and save italy just a little bit longer ..in north africa ??? but yeah i always thought if france stayed in the war it would deffff help britian out alot more maybe the could have held sicilia or tripoli

also D day would def be pushed up maybe 5 months
