Wolfenstein the new order released in 2014 and was met with a lot of praise but for some reason a lot of people haven't played Wolfenstein The New Order so is now the time?

Is Wolfenstein the new order really worth buying and playing in 2022?

Wolfenstein isn't a franchise i see often mentioned when talking about quality fps single player games, it's usually the halo's or crysis games hell even far cry games in some fan bases but that's not because of
lack of quality.

But is Wolfenstein the new order worth it in 2022? why shouldn't you just start with the sequel or just play something else?, well lets find out.

How is the gameplay of Wolfenstein the new order? Was Wolfenstein the new order really that good?

How has Wolfenstein aged after 8 years?
These are all the questions i hope to answer in this review of Wolfenstein the new order in 2022.

For everyone to know this game is currently free on the Epic game store this week. Picked it up and looking forward to playing it.

It's the best kind of camp. The scenarios may feel like a joke, but the characters never do. You care about them throughout. The villains are also interesting in their depiction, with the little glimpses into their personality showing a range from naive stooges to monstrously inhuman sadists.

The New Order feels like a prototype for a lot of the game-play mechanics for Doom 2016 and Doom Eternal. Which makes sense considering wolfenstein 3D was basically the prototype for the OG Doom. I feel like anyone who enjoys the modern Doom games will find a lot to enjoy in Wolfenstein TNO/TOB/etc. albeit at a somewhat slower, more tactical pace. All in all I give it the rating of Das Blue U-Boat out of Mond Mond, Ja Ja.

I love the attention to detail in this game. The environments react to gun fire and explosions (dust, concrete falling apart, interactive objects flying around), the story is great, the FPS mechanics are imo the best in the franchise, which includes the newer games. This is a classic. The New Order is to Wolfenstein what DOOM 2016 was to doom. It's every bit as good in reviving the grand daddy of FPS games into something truly worthwhile. Playing it again now, and I'm actually impressed that the graphics (in some areas more than others) live up to 2022 standards.

I got 100% achievements in both the Xbox one and Xbox 360 version. One of the best games of last gen. It also has a great story, which is rare in AAA games for some reason.

This was one of the first games I bought for my PS4 when it first released, I vaguely remember playing through it so thought right let’s play it now on my PS5! What a game this is I’m absolutely loving it pure class from start to finish highly recommend for anyone who’s never played it

I bought the Alt History package. 4 games for 35 bucks. I've played through The Old Blood, The New Order, and I just finished the New Colossus. Incredible games with a great story and the combat is addicting. Haven't been able to download Youngblood yet though. Internet is crap right now.

Just played first 3 hours on PS5. Actually pretty amazed how god it looks and how well it plays. Lots of fun. How could I skip this title all those years I really like this game. It’s free on ps now too
