4Chan’s Infinite Money Glitch

Показать описание
In 2010, an anonymous user on 4Chan posted about an insane exploit they found that could get them virtually anything for free. The user figured out exactly how coupons worked, and used the knowledge to make fake ones, which could be redeemed for almost anything.

4Chan was curious, did the coupons work, or were they getting trolled? So they decided to go test them.

Although some users did get caught, these coupons worked almost perfectly. Everything from snacks to Playstations to even prepaid gift cards, 4Chan now had an unlimited money glitch.

Man smiles as he pulls out one final coupon.

the biggest problem is they made them too ridiculous. it likely could’ve gone on for much longer if they weren’t making “Free PS3” coupons

When working class people find a way to get ahead it's a scam. When giant companies charge 200% on food it's called "dealing with hard times"

I remember doing this as a kid, Walmart was the best for it and you’d tell them it was a coupon you got for completing surveys

The storys always the same

-Find exploit
-it works wonders
-you get away with it
-you admit do doing it
-you get caught

Moral keep your mouth shut

Had a customer come in with a ”Buy 1 carton of cigarettes get 9 free" coupon as if that would ever be real around that time

I remember this. I was working at Toys R Us at the time, and some dumbass cashier accepted a coupon for a free PS3.

People were fighting off poverty with this shit. That guy is a hero and no amount of corporate bootlicking will change that

Walmart steals more than a million a day from employees in unpaid overtime. Whos really the criminal?

How is this guy liable for damages other people committed unless their claiming he stole $900k of damages?

The companies that were affected would think of 1mil as pocket change

Don't trust any fake coupons out there. This happened when the coupon scam first came out years ago, so some could get away with it. Now, you'll get caught for fraud. Edit: I mistyped a few things

Fun fact: every time some infinite money glitch like this slips through the cracks, the only reason it ever gets fixed is because

1. They were too greedy
2. They told the entire world

If an individual scams a corporation out of 1 million it’s a felony.

If a corporation does it to their employees it’s just business.

It was a dumb idea in the first place to store the relevant info as a barcode.

Usually you create a coupon in the management system and store the information about the coupons there and the coupons itself is just the number of the coupon.

So if someone scans the code the system looks up if there is a coupon with the code associated stored in the system.
