☣️ Twitch Hack & Leak - EXPLAINED (HINT - it's HUGE!)

BREAKING: Twitch has been hacked and there was a significant data leak today on Wednesday 6th October 2021.

The data breach of Twitch is extensive and wide-ranging, and there are a number of highly newsworthy things that have been allegedly revealed in the Twitch leak. Many of these have been independently verified by a wide range of news outlets.

The Twitch leak includes the earnings of top streamers, info about a new product to compete with Valve's Steam called "Vapor", encrypted passwords of Twitch users and a number of security protocols such as Twitch's internal ‘red teaming’ tools, new Twitch features coming soon such as 3D emotes. Then the biggest of them all, the source code to both the mobile and the desktop version of Twitch, along with AWS server information.

As you can see, it's a pretty shocking amount of data that has been leaked as part of the Twitch data breach and Twitch have still yet to respond at the time of recording of this video.

The data that was leaked is huge. There is data about their configuration automation systems (ansible/puppet/chef). About SSH users, their active directory etc. There are root ca's in the leak etc. People only think about the source code and how much streamers earn, but this leak opened up so many holes in Twitches systems that this is hackers paradise.
