I own one and agree with all your comments. Unsaid is that the user manual is very terse and lacking in some important aspects, such as the fact that the adaptor is never mentioned in the manual and one spends a lot of time before realizing its intended use.

Nice review. Slight correction. The USB jacks are micro-B jacks, not mini.

I am aware that the question was asked before but It would really be something special if you could get your hands on a 2Qute Chordette and make a comparative review with the Hugo. For many audiophiles it is extremely difficult to compare such exclusive products directly and often times purchases are made on the basis of reading online and though video reviews such as yours. I am at the point of upgrading my digital front end and the Hugo or 2Qute would by my top choices. As my use of the DAC would serve exclusively as a non-portable link in my hi-fi system, I wanted to hear whether the 2Quote is on par with the more expensive Hugo. Thanks in advance and all the best!

Hi Hans, how does the Hugo compare to the Chord 2Qute ? I read it has the same d/a converter minus the batterry. I do not need the portable aspect of the Hugo and the 2Qute is cheaper but maybe the power supply is inferior and thus affecting the sound quality ?What is your opinion ? Ik ben al lang een fan van jouw reviews. En nu abonnee op dit YouTube kanaal. Bestonden er maar meer hifi liefhebbers van de oude garde die met het digitale tijdperk zijn meegegaan zonder het analoge verleden te loochenen. Ga alsjeblieft door met beschouwingen en uitleg van hoogwaardige en bevredigende geluidsapparatuur en weergave.

It ok just going on and on and on and on about the Hugo, BUT, how do you use it ? how does it connect ? what does it connect to ?  what does it look like connected ? all you have done is describe a box with no explanation of how it functions

Can I ask about : Does the battery effect the sound of hugo?
I'm an owner and have my unite for 9 months .I notice something that my hugo has no depth I mean the sound didn't comes from far way it' sound very clean but with no depth can you ask Rob about that, I heard Dave it has the same smooth sound but with better depth how did he make it ?
will if I use more battery will improve the sound
what did you think of battery vs linear power supply which one is better for high sound quality?
