Tula - the Capital of Gingerbread and Russian Weapons

Tula is a great idea for a one-day trip from Moscow.
Tula city is the oldest Russian city where you can feel the unique Russian atmosphere and try traditional Russian cuisine and sweets.

Tula is one of those cities the name of which evokes stable associations-symbols in the memory. In this case, these are printed gingerbread, samovars — once a very important attribute of tea drinking in Russia and, of course, weapons.

Ah, yes. Tula, home of the famed munitions factory, making the AK-47, Mosin-Nagant, and ammunition. Even all the way over here in the US we have heard of Tula! Love to see the weapons museum. Hmm, wonder what they sell at the giftshop? Looked very chilly, loved it!

I love Tula. And I love your videos. It is so beautiful to see it snowing out and the wind blowing the snow. I can tell you that I’m hungry now for some gingerbread. You so much for sharing. 🙏

I have a friend from Tula. Her husband is scottish. She made us these delicious gingerbreads (no butter as my son and I are dairy allergic). Wonderful! Tasty! Eli can you make?

Half a million people... This is not a small town. Nor by geography, history, economly or demographics.
Also culturally, Tula has a big say in Russian history, with Tolstoj's Jasna Poljana located nearby.
Last but not least, this is one of the hero cities, 2 months on the frontline and never conquered by Germans.
I find it difficult to tolerate how people from the big cities (like Moscow and Milan) think they're at the center of the universe...
I'm married with a girl from Tula and thank you for promoting this Town, but please don't say this is small.
