Thank you for posting episodes on both candidates! Politics can be very biased and ill-informing, but I appreciate the work you put into the exposure of both of them so that we are able to make informed decisions.

I have to agree with locha this time. No governor has ever visited the hmong except for governor walker and he had done so much for hmong wisc. Vote for him.

If one is politically or ideologically convinced that the Republican or Democrat would advance one's political or economic interests and voted accordingly, then I have no problem with how the vote is casting, whether for the Republican or Democrat. However, my concern is this: the majority of Hmong are casting their ballots as being told by their clan or community leaders, who might be used or manipulated by outsiders.  For example, Minnesota Senator Foung Hawj came to Wisconsin rallying the Hmong there to vote for Mary Burke, a Democrat, and Locha Thao who came from California to rally for the Republican Governor Scott Walker.  So, our community is divided, and this divisiveness, in addition to the many conflicts in the Hmong community in Wisconsin, will continue to further divide the Hmong even after the election is long gone.  Hmong have been traditionally used or manipulated by outsiders (e.g., Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese, Lao) to fight Hmong themselves, and this is a sad part of our history.  My solution is this: educating the Hmong about the issues these two candidates stand for and let each Hmong in Wisconsin make his or her own decision as to whom will best advance his or her interests.  This, I convinced, will prevent further division within our Hmong community because it does not involve clan or community leaders, such as Senator Foung Hawj, Locha Thao and others.

I hope that our Hmong will focus on health insurance, job stability, disability income for our elders, services for Hmong elders, etc.  Focus on the programs that the politician will put in place that will aim more benefit to the Hmong community.
