I went to school in the 80’s and I can’t remember my parents ever meeting a single one of my teachers for anything other than if you were sick or in trouble . Lol I doubt they even knew most of my teachers names at all except for report cards . Parents just weren’t like that then …… teachers were feared because they would use the paddle and genuinely square up with you if they had too . If your parents heard you got paddled then you got it when you got home too . My parents and teachers didn’t play . All adults checked all kids regularly……. You didn’t do any BS in front of any adults at all anywhere . That’s how we learned to move in silence lol I’m serious though
