As a fellow ex-investment banking analyst, I really appreciate the honestly in this video - it takes a lot to come out and talk about the challenges and struggles you faced while in banking. I think its so easy for people in high powered finance roles to be blinded by money and prestige, and lose sight of what truly matters in life. My dad was in banking in early 90’s. He left after so many of his colleagues became burnt out or worse hooked on drugs to keep going. Yes, it was 100+ hrs a week. He never regretted leaving.

Have to say your story really hit home for me. This past few months have really taught me the importance of spending quality time with your loved ones. Although I have also deviated from not thinking just about compensation as much but sometimes it does get to you especially when you live in expensive cities where just the cost of life is astronomical.
