The number 1 litmus test for every Democratic Senate candidate going forward, has to be "will they move forcefully to eliminate the filibuster?"

Put it up to a nationwide vote. Ending the filibuster and one payer healthcare. Americans will win.

Issues like this can be used to see where we are moving politically. Are we going to show any signs progress under a Democratic admin. My instincts say, no. Looking at history, it easily confirms any skepticism I may harness. Honestly, this is mostly an establishment issue. I'd say it is acceptable for the left to have an opinion. I doubt much of the time having been spent disusing it these last weeks from those in progressive media is really all that valuable. Of course, this in light of there being more pressing issues of the need, which are more important to our people. Especially the left.
There surely needs to be more discussion on what the approach is going to be moving forward. A game plan on what the response is going to be to the "politics as usual" kind of scenario that is most likely to play out the next four years. Will there need fore applied pressure through various means to get our countrymen some dignity back into their households? To get them back into a house, for that matter.
How to move forward and combat the rise of right wing populism. On this issue, there is going to be the need for a little more support for the leftist wing of the populist movement. Like the good old days, to help in the effort. That is where it all started, you know? There needs to be a matching sentiment to create some of the messaging moving forward, which will be promoting ideas of value. Those are the issues which will capture peoples ears. Hopefully, over the negative stuff. Like racism and such.
Those who are right leaning are not likely to listen much to the wing of progressive who support and/or are aligned with the Democrats. The reasons are all but obvious why. Between the conservatives and many on the left, there are probably more people in this country who dislike the Democratic party. Capturing the majority of this base will be needed to be done by those with a populist message. There are a lot of uncertainties moving forward four years to next election.
If Trump is not impeached, he will be allowed to run again in 2024. Maybe as the representative of his own new Patriot Party. Even without him, this entity has room to grow, regardless. If a progressive party is not supported, it may be a disaster for our movement moving forward. At least in terms of much positive change. Otherwise, yes, a Democrat is likely to receive the nomination. Maybe some new progressives will become part of an establishment party. The squad will grow a bit in numbers. But, no real change will have occurred....

when we're talking about plublicly funding college and healthcare, why aren't gov't elections spending be funded as well? that could limit lobby influence and barrier to entry for grassroots politicians fighting the only two parties system.
