im pretty sure that AC2 will be the ACC people want, the ACC klevel of details, but with all the content of AC + mod support, wouldnt suprise me as good as ACC has grown and become. cyou can truly feel the passion for racing from the kunos team!

When i first built my sim rig i bought both titles right away. Long story short: years after and i am still on AC and hardly ever fire up ACC. I feel like one very important gameplay characteristic was left out in the video, which is the gameplay itself. On ACC you are pretty much forced to take things seriously all the time. Regardless if you are racing or just practicing, the game is constantly watching over your driving skills and ranking your levels. It doesnt take very long for that to become tiring. Every single time you fire up ACC you get this feeling of being on your way to school where you will write an exam. You constantly need to prove yourself to the ranking system and hardly ever do you get the chance to just simply drive a car and enjoy yourself. And even when that happens, you are always in a GT car at the same few tracks that the game offer. So i only recommend ACC if you are a die-hard gt-racing fan. For everyone else: just go with AC. You can do the same ACC stuff plus road cars, old cars, LM cars, formula cars, rally tracks, road tracks, desert roads, touge runs, mountain climbs, drifting, etc etc etc. From Fiat 500 all the way to F1s...there is no limit. Oh and by the way, when you do find the limits of the game, you can start modding the crap out of it....AC is an absolute masterpiece

Hi everyone, I hope you found the video useful! Something I should have mentioned in the video is that mods on Assetto Corsa are only available for PC users, not console users. Thanks for watching!

The best bit about AC multiplayer is racing in old MX-5's or GT86's around some of the world's most famous tracks. I remember joining a classic DTM server with E30's and 190E's and it was such a blast racing them in Mugello. Side by side for the whole lap!
I just wish those servers existed more often. There's too many servers dedicated to the Nurbgurgring.

Have in mind that the AC Steam statistics might not include the content manager option.
Great comparison, congrats!
Really nailed it.

AC with all the mods eg CSP, content manager, SOL and the plethora of quality car and track mods, is simply un-beatable as a sim title. The AC community is also incredible.

Might have been useful to mention modding is only on PC.
On console both are fantastic and worth getting.

I'm in the process of getting started at the old age of 70&3/4 years. Fourty odd years ago I campaigned a Mini in European Rallycross and feel I would like to try to relive my racing days.

I'm getting kit together, a used PS4+, new LG 32" gaming monitor and have a used mini PC ASRock X300W Ryzen 7 7800G in the post from USA. I'm still researching steering wheels and am attracted to a low end direct drive model.
I can't spend too much and would go for the old Asetto Corsa based upon your comparison for its less demanding graphics hardware requirement and sheer variety over ACC along with aftermarket modding possibilities.
This video was very helpful to me, so thank you.

I'm not a "gamer" or a "racer". I love playing with fast cars on epic tracks so, ac is perfect for me. I would probably prefer acc if it wasn't just one series.

As someone who has yet to play a Assetto Corsa game, this is hands down the most well-spoken, lucid, non-biased, and informative review I have seen yet.
Thank you for creating top tier professional content, that viewers can consume and use informatively.

I played ac with sol and csp and hundreds of mods for years. I didn’t see any reason to get acc whatsoever. But when I finally got it on crap...it’s an ENTIRELY different racing experience. I haven’t played AC since.

They should merge their two games into one, AC/C would be phenomenal then just my opinion 😉

Really good video I'm currently playing both of these games on my series X and I agree the original is still great to drive and you just get a great feeling when your driving, ACC for me is more difficult but still a great game, I'm new to SIM racing but I love it and I'm glad I've got both games, looking forward to ac2

Excellent review that's settled it. Only using H shifter with manual clutch.
Won't be getting ACC anytime soon.
Thanks for saving me the cabbage.

Assetto Corsa is literally a car sandbox, especially with the awesome modding community. It can pretty much do everything you'd want (except for rolling starts). Want a realistic race with detailled cars around lazer scanned tracks? AC has got you covered. Want to get a drift bus with 2500hp and drive it around Le Mans? Go for it!

Assetto Corsa 2.0 will be interesting. Hope they keep the DNA and the community spirit alive.

I have both. Also driven Raceroom a lot.
But i am a VR headset user (1st gen Vive)- and for me it has to be the heavily modded AC which always pulls me in. Group C cars round one of Fat Alfies tracks is hard to beat.

If AC 2 can get its VR sorted and give a compromise of quality and quantity - of course i will try it! 😉🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Thanks for this! I have decided to start with ac and later try acc down the line. Excited to get my new sim rig some use :)

I am liking your content and presentation. The comparison is good but does not do AC with the proper mods justice. Having said that, you do showcase the original AC quite well. Consider doing a part 2 between the two when you get Content Manager with CSP, Sol and some proper modded cars and tracks working well...
