1959 to 2023 is 64 years since we got such spaceflights to happen. Technology has changed so much in 64 years...

I have met both Bob MacDonald and Chris Hadfield. And CBC itself was an early adopter of space technology.
In the very early 1960s when humans were trying to figure out what to do with the damn things, there was TelStar.
One of the very first after Sputnik. Its first customers for worldwide use were ABC, CBS, NBC, BBC and...CBC!

First they say "land" on the moon....then say "loop" around the moon.
Which one is it?

the moon should be treated the same as antartica doesnt belong specifically to anyone one nation, mars on the other hand is a different beast.

As a child, I was extremely enthusiastic about Apollo 11, the first manned flight to and onto the surface of the moon. But then after only a few more moon missions, the early promise of space exploration has sadly been put on hold for too long. How excited and overjoyed am I to learn that mankind may soon be returning to space!

quakes and asteroids are the problem // perhaps TIE by steel cable to the moon, floating bases
too many quakes will shake and destroy the moon base if it is solely laid upon the moon

So envious of our Canadian cousins with this. It's a real shame we don't invest in space like you do. How good is it going to feel with a Canadian orbiting the moon ❤ 🇨🇦 🇬🇧🇺🇸
