Will you be getting this new release?

The fact that Pocket Camp lasted for as long as it did (Even longer than New Horizons support sadly) surprises me.

Me: You know, I should really get back to playing pocket camp.

Nintendo: Hold my beer.

It was always strange to me that pocket camp had campers interact with the environment but they hardly ever did In New horizons.

Apparently, I've been playing ACPC so frequently that my phone has a faint ghost imprint of the top UI bar permanently etched on the screen whether the app is actually open or not.

But honestly, I feel like the game has been hitting us with so much new limited-time stuff over the months to keep up with that it'll actually feel kinda relieving to see the live online play come to an end to make way for a regular one-time-pay version.

I have pocket camp but the amount of microtransactions always put me off so i only play once every few months. I get annoyed when trying to collect items and 70% of them are extra and you cant even buy the one you want you have to buy a box that might have the one you want in it. This new one price for everything pocket camp has me interested though, ill be sure to check it out.

I have personally paid 450 dollars on this app since the beginning and do still actively play. GIVEN that I have ALREADY paid 450 on the game, I should HOPE that the new version will be free of charge.

For me, Pocket Camp felt like my whole childhood. I was an imature little kid when I started playing it, and I continued to play it even after the release of New Horizons, when I didn't know it was a thing. I loved to hang out with lots of villagers that I loved, and some of them even made it to my current New Horizons island: Beau, Flurry, Bianca, Apollo, Freya, Goldie, Rosie, Mary, Jay, Filbert, Daisy and many other fellas I don't even remember the name of. I loved the market place and the cabin, they were my fav features that would've been a cool adition to New Horizons. I know, I'm aware of Harvey's market place, but come on. The cabin would've been so so cool. It's so sad to see it go. I do not play Pocket Camp anymore, but the fact that it existed there - free and as I forever knew it, made me really happy. At least, I do have parts of my island that remind me of the beggining of Animal Crossing era for me. I have items I used to use in the game, I have Beau and Flurry, and I do also have...Lottie. Does someone remember Lottie from Pocket camp? No one talks about that...

My biggest concern is with item availability. A lot of items in Pocket Camp are exclusive to the ticket system, including some of the coolest looking items in the game. In the new version, they’d have to either make those items completely unobtainable or come up with a new way to obtain them. Maybe they could come up with a way for you to earn Leaf Tickets reliably in the game, like with Nook Mile Tickets in New Horizons. Them taking away the ability to visit other people’s camps is a bummer, though.

I played Pocket Camp back when it first came out and was immediately turned off due to the microtransactions, however, with the announcement of this offline version where microtransactions are gotten rid of and assuming all of the furniture and microtransaction items from the online version are obtainable in some way in this offline version, maybe I'll pick it back up again when it becomes available to purchase. Either way, I like this approach to the EoS announcement because it let's you keep what you worked hard for spending money or saving up to get that rare content you could only get using Leaf Tickets. Sort of off topic, but I hope they do the same thing for Fire Emblem: Heroes when that day comes since it's the one Gacha I've stuck out playing since its Day 1 launch.

Bob's Gang. I didn't play Pocket Camp that much, but this news has made me very sad.

With this van in the Legos, I can't stop imagining a connection between ACNH and this new game like "I want to go to work" we would have a "I want to go to town" and there we would be connected to this new game. It's just a dream unfortunately

I was so heartbroken to find out about it closing down today because I’ve been playing pocket camp for a long time. As a kid on my mom’s iPad and now years later on my own device. This game was such a fond memory of mine growing up. ☹️

I haven't really played Pocket Camp that much because you can't really progress without buying a lot of leaf tickets and having the membership, so this is nice. I do wonder how speeding up crafting will work if they're getting rid of leaf tickets though? Will they be earned in game? Will they have a new currency? Will you not be able to speed things up?

Day 1 Pocket Camp player here… I randomly saw the end of service announcement pop up in game yesterday and was quite surprised, but I’m definitely planning to get the offline version. I’m going to miss the seasonal events a lot though! One of the best parts of Animal Crossing is being able to virtually experience the seasons. Sadly, all good things must come to an end, and it has been a wonderful free game ❤

I am glad they're letting us keep our save data, but I'm still devastated about this. I also have a lot of questions about event-exclusive items and fortune cookies

I'm a daily player of Pocket Camp, and have been pretty much since its release, even to the point of having to buy TWO replacement phones to keep up with the additional features they added that I don't use, like the VR Camera. When I logged in this morning (Aug. 23) I read the notification of its impending demise, and was immediately and mildly upset.

While I don't personally know anyone who plays NH, and although there's no way to communicate with my "friends" on Pocket Camp, I at least felt some connection there - helping them get access to the quarry (why is it called a tour?), buying and selling through Market Box, even taking the occasional photo and setting it as a "Fave Photo" if they're visiting a location and we happen to be wearing the same outfit, etc. Being that the replacement game will not require online access at all, what little sense of community I felt in the game will soon disappear.
