I just hope that we‘ll FINALLY be able to create multiple saves on one console. I don’t share my Switch with my sibling but god dammit I just want a second island instead of constantly having to redo my first one. It‘s just so annoying

I'd love to see the next Animal Crossing get the Mario Kart 8 deluxe treatment, where it includes everything from the previous game (perhaps in a new setting) and then adds onto it until we have twice the content.

My wishlist- multiple save files so we can have more than one island or town, ability to purchase multiple items at once at Able’s, crafting multiples of items at once, and being able to terraform AND the ability to move the resident services buildings, even if they charge twice as many bells as that Shylock Nook

One of the biggest things I really want is better stylus support. It seemed really random what did and didn’t support touch screen, and the quality also seemed really varying. As an artist, I love customizing things wherever possible. But, for a specific example, ACNH wouldn’t even allow touch screen on custom designs. Insane to me. Hopefully the next games that come out fix that. With such a large screen, and such an artistic audience, not being able to draw on everything would be a huge miss. Especially with how customizable the 3DS was.

All i want for the next game is a big multiplayer area to run around in. Inviting people to your island is fun, but i want to be able to actually make friends

I love the backwards compatible thing! That was my favorite feature about the Wii. It was nice having another way to play my GC games. Bob's Gang

I hope they bring back nintendogs somehow. I understand that the gameplay wouldn't be compatible with these new consoles which is why there isn't one for the switch, but I don't care I just want to have my virtual puppies and cats again 😭 I can't stand the games dying with the 3DS

Actually i would compare this to the multiple DS consoles as we had the DS, DS lite, and 3 DS.

I just bought a switch about a year ago, and with that I got New Horizons. I'm absolutely addicted, but sadly none of my friends play.

Unique islands to play mini-games prizes & special items you can only get or buy on the islands.
These unique islands & cities can have the ability to play with 4 to 10 people. And you could play the same people or different ones.

Partially built towns & playing mini games & rpg to create more.

Going into more depth of the history of the NPC.

New characters that have a different types of personality & their dialogue can change, especially if you change your answers.

The ability to fly over your island.

This is cool! But it's already sad to see some of the newer games I've seen that are going to come out are gonna be only available for Switch 2 and Playstation 5 and I have the normal Switch and a Playstation 4 seeing these consoles all of the sudden being quickly forgotten always kinda bugged me especially since you don't always want to buy these new consoles too soon since they aren't cheap!🤑

I just want my villagers to actually have actual personalities again and be able to build up the friendship with them + villagers actually interacting with the furniture I place in the world similar to pocket camp

One thing I'd really like to see in the next game would be better ways to work with light & shadow outdoors. I've recently tried to create light effects for nighttime on my current island but it doesn't really work very well. The light sources in the game don't really provide light, they just have a glow around them that may reflect on the items that are right next to them, but that's all. I get that this probably would have been technically difficult to implement on the current Switch if the graphics are laggy already, and this sort of detail probably wasn't a priority for the developers anyway. But maybe in the next game...

Does anyone think a animal crossing game won't be on the switch 2? Since the first animal crossing game on N64 animal crossing has been on almost every single major nintendo console

what were needfor the next animal crossing is to be able to move and design ALL of the building just like with the houses. the plaza, the museum, the airport. even different colors for the piers. oh and be able yup have multiple colors for all the bridges, in game paths, all that. like red, white, and brown brick. stone with and without moss or something. all that.
