Another easiest way I found out is simply to take off battery cell from motherboard and put it back on. It can solve in most cases. But this video is showing like fixing a system like a professional. Love it, thanks for sharing.

BIOS Power Management setting PME change did the trick! Messed around for hours until seeing this tip. Thanks!

Remote wake up is used for remote IT management, like updates and corporate software installs of many computers where it would be mad to run around in large buildings and do it one by one. Some used it for a server at home or in the HQ where a power out is very destructive, if it doesn't turn on again. It doesn't make much sense for home users.

Thank you for the video, I tried all the steps but nothing worked for me. I went through the BIOS options to see if I could find anything else that might work. I selected "disable battery for maintenance" in BIOS, after which the laptop shuts down. Inserting the power plug allows you to restart and it re-enables the battery. This did the trick for me, problem solved, but you inspired me to browse the BIOS, thanks.

There is no power management features option in my Setup (F2). I'm using Windows 10 currently. It has Main, Advanced, Security, Boot and Exit options only. Under advanced, there is Intel SpeedStep, Virtualization, Integrated NIC, USB Emulation, USB Powershare, USB wake support, SATA operation, adapter warning, function key behavior, charger behaviour, external USB ports and eSata ports options. Kindly guide as I've tried all options except the last one.

I had the same problem and I tried a lot
BIOS reset and Change settings
I suffered from for a long time,
but the problem was in the wifi card
When I replaced it, the problem was gone
And the battery consumption is lower
The temperature of the laptop is normal

I have a dell desktop pc that does this even without a hard drive and Operating system in place. I can boot with a thumb drive, shutdown from the menu and have to snatch out the thumb drive before it reboots.
I installed Win 10 yesterday on a new hard drive on the computer and it still does it. It has to be in the bios but I haven't been able to find it.
If I hold the power button down when it tries to reboot and let off it the instant I hear the hard drive quit spinning, it will stay shut down.

My system restart whenever there is a slight fluctuation in power supply. Iam using a vs 650 power supply with on board graphics paired to 3 yrs old Apc bx1100c-in ups which is giving a 30 min backup when power is cutoff from mains also checked Ups battery volts which are 13.41 & 13.22 at discharging state. Please help iam suspecting a bios or psu problem.

Great way of trying everything till you get it. I hope someone sees this question: I picked up a windows lumina 1020 8.1 v of windows phone, and it reboots every time I click shutdown, about 4 seconds later. Did any of you ever solve this? Thanks.

I took my ram out and changed cmos-battery. Either it was the Ram or Bios that needed a reset/new battery! It fixed my problem - after tested all other solutions...
