Trump has been engaging in underhanded, dodgy deals for decades. Why wouldn't he treat the electoral system with the same contempt? It's not even for the power, since Trump was a laughingstock around the world and at home politically. It's his huge ego and chance to avoid the law, which has Trump running for a third time. 

His advisors and members of think tanks who will be running things. You only need to tell Trump it was his idea and that it is the most amazing thing ever. Flatter him, and you'll get an executive order stinking of burger grease signed in no time. There's no way Trump understands, or really cares, what's in Project 2025. As long as it jerks his ego and grants him more powers. 

Trump and Vance are just useful idiots for the loony fringe elements of the Republican Party. If they weren't rich, they'd be that really annoying relation nobody invites to family events.
