By the way SRT team.  Pause your video at 2 mins 18 seconds.  See those race track icons?  Turn that into a decal and place them on the front quarter panels of this car.  Reminds you of the kill counts marked just below the canopy of a fighter plane.

For all the guys that say it has unfair aero or it's the tires. At laguna Seca it's over 2 seconds faster than the P1, which had comparable tires- (Trofeo R vs. Kuhmo V720)
comparable Downforce - (1340lbs "active" for the P1 vs. the vipers 1, 500lbs. @ 150mph)
Both RWD
both within 50lbs of each other.
P1 7spd DCT vs. the viper is a regular 6spd manual
HP - 904hp for the P1 vs. only 645hp for the ACR a 259hp difference.

First, realize that Dodge and FCA do not "make money" on Vipers. It is a PR method and it's Halo car. Ultimately it's so they can sell more Darts, etc. 20+ yrs ago someone asked Lee Iaccoca about viper sales and profit. His response was that he has more minivans fall of trains than he sells vipers. It's ALL about bragging rights. Second, this car PLATFORM has serious racing pedigree, which is why they dominated several classes at LeMans, FIA, and ALMS in the 90s. It's why there is a 97 Viper at the Motorsports Museum at LeMans, along with event winning Audis, Porsches, Aston Martins, Jags, etc. The only really astonishing thing about the Viper is that it does all it does at an order of magnitude lower price than it's competition.
