Pianist Anna Fedorova and the Nordwestdeutsche Philharmonie led by Yves Abel perform Tchaikovsky's 'Piano Concerto No. 1' in The Royal Concertgebouw Amsterdam. The concert is part of the NPO Radio 4-series The Sunday Morning Concert.

Pianist Anna Fedorova is well known for her performance of Rachmaninoffs ‘Piano Concerto No. 2’. Her interpretation of this work on our YouTube Channel has over 19 million views! On the 4th of July, 2022, I will celebrate my 100th birthday. I don't know when I first started singing Tchaikovsky's First, but I think it must have been in the 1930's when words were written for "Tonight We Love" - and I'm still singing it. God has been good to me and I can still sing although I've gone from first tenor to baritone. I just found this video on YouTube and love it!

Anna, you and this wonderful orchestra have done it again. I am 84 and have been listening to this piano concerto for at least 74 of those years. We finally got a record player a few years after the Belfast blitz in 1941. I love the way you have portrayed this work by Tchaikovsky. You are my favourite piano artist of all time. When I was a young student back in the fifties I disregarded classical music. Then one day I went to the National Auditorium in Montevideo where this concert was played...and I was mesmerized! Music and I have been in love ever since -and I am 81 now.
