Hello everyone and welcome to my YouTube channel and in this video today we will see how to delete photos or videos from Whatsapp permanently. This method also works with the iPhone. How to delete a photo

1. Now suppose these are the photos you want to delete from your WhatsApp then tap on the photo and then select tap on delete.
2. Then select “Delete For me”.
3. The photo will be deleted from WhatsApp chat.

How to delete a photo from a group

But how about a photo from a group if someone sends.
1. Then tap on the photo to select.
2. Tap on delete.
3. Then you have the option to either Delete for me or you have the option to delete for everyone.
4. If you want to delete for you only then select “Delete for me” or else completely delete for everyone in a group then select “Delete for everyone”.

Now the photos that you delete from WhatsApp chat is not completely deleted from the device. It will be still in the gallery.

1. Open Gallery app.
2. Scroll down and look for WhatsApp images.
3. Here you will find the image that you have just deleted from WhatsApp.
4. Open the folder.
5. Now from here also you have to delete the images.
6. So, tap and hold the image which you want to delete.
7. If you want to delete multiple images select those which you want to delete.
8. Now tap on the delete icon and the image is deleted from the WhatsApp image folder.
But still it is not yet completed. The images you have deleted from the folder moves to the recycle bin.

How to restore deleted images from the whatspp

So, you have the last option to restore the deleted photos from whatsapp app.
1. Go back to the photo gallery.
2. Tap on the three dotted icon.
3. Select “Recycle”.
4. Now if you want to restore the image, just select the image and then select “Restore”.
5. But if you want to completely remove the image then select “Delete”.

So, this is how you can permanently delete images from WhatsApp.
