Thank you so so much!
I’m 15 and am being assessed for this soon!
Also what you said about maths is none right now and it’s so frustrating!
I didn’t even know what dyspraxia was until a month ago, thank you again for the informative video.😀

This Video is amazing well done young lady 👏 . Dyspraxia is something not everyone is aware of even when I was at school most teachers were fine but some had no idea didant understand me so In there class I would struggle. Maths is also a subject I couldn't get still find it hard but thanks to a college tutor and now my Job I have improved my basic maths at school they teach you to much irealvent stuff . Maths was to much at school for me just hated the lessons yesr 7 had extra maths lol . my TA at school knew that use to try hard but just not for me my focus would go. in year 10 my maths teacher she tried hard with me for instance I couldn't be bothered to do my maths homework anymore so had to do alot of breaktime detentions. Organisation is brilliant now most of the time but at school I would forget books etc lose stuff My uniform was a nightmare especially after pe 🤣 My form tutor she looked after me . My 2 biggest issues now are I am still clumsy and my mode can go up and down because like you said I can get anxious about stuff which leads to stress unfortunately. Also no chance of me riding a bike

Just here to say that not everyone with dyspraxia have speech problems. You sort of made it seem like it was a given with dyspraxia. Other than that, I love this video and I like your bubbly personality. Great information!

Your video was great !
I just wanted to share my experience to show that not everybody’s symptoms are the same.
So I have mild dyspraxia but my symptoms aren’t exactly the one’s you mentioned :
- I have no issue in school I’m the second best of my class since first grade
- I have no issue with speech at all, I speak four languages fluently. 3 without accent but my English somehow ended up sounding British (but to be honest I often speak too fast or loud)
- I did have anxiety but it gets better by itself so idk i fit comes from my dyspraxia or not
- But I have a symptom that I find really cool : my senses are enhanced that means that I hear better than most people, I taste food differently, my sense of smell is stronger for ex. I can recognize people by their smell I don’t have to see them (if they stand close enough tho) and apparently my touch is a bit different but I never understood how
- These cool thing have a huge downside being the fact that I’m easily sensory overloaded. As a kid I used to get panic attacks whenever the volume was too high for ex. An emergency car drove past me with sirens on or simply noisy places like the mall or parties. I still can’t eat fruits because of their consistency, everything that is hard on the outside and watery when you bite into it is not possible to eat for me.
- And another huge effect it has on me is constant fatigue. I’m very easily tired and I need a lot of sleep.
