How to install Velineon 3500kv brushless motor in a Traxxas Slash 4x4

In today's video we will be installing a brushless 3500 kv Velineon motor.

Nice video, ty. A suggestion I would make is to not put on the cover for spur/pinion gear until last so you can set the proper mesh with the motor adjustment screw. Also, I always put a little loc-tite on my set screw for pinion gear, that will help with it not coming loose. Just my opinion.

As I was watching this video I was doing the exact same steps to my slash 4x4. I really wanted to learn how instead of someone else just doing it for me, your tutorial was really good man. Changing from a slow Titan 12t 550, to a fast Velineon 3500 Brushless motor. I just wanted to say thank you for your help, and keep up the great work. 👍

Hi' Did You use that Brushless esc with the original radio and receiver that was on the car?. I just baugh that same brushless esc and veleon motor for my slash 4x4 brushe motor too. I'm Not too sure if it works.

My slash 4x4 vxl seems notchy when you try and roll it, is that normal for the motor? I've only just picked this thing up second hand but the last owner cooked the vxl3 esc. Thanks

Supposed to be plug and play, and everything fits where it's supposed to, but the original screws on the XL5 (3X15) are too short to screw the VXL-3 to the original holes. Has anyone else found this a problem?

I don’t know why but when I try to tighten the screw to tighten the motor the nut turns too and there’s no way for me to get to it with a wrench
