Great topic! Totally relatable. During the year preceding me moving out of my parents' home, I had started buying and preparing my own food & meals to eat healthier & I can't even count the number of times my mom threw out a week's worth of chicken that I'd cooked to use in salads, or other foods I had prepped because she didn't have space in the fridge (meanwhile storing junk foods & other leftovers that were older). No respect!
When I finally announced I was moving out, my dad in a desperate attempt to get me to change my mind, said: "We'll make more space for your food in the fridge, don't move out!" (Of course my reasons were not so petty, I was leaving due to waking up from the mind controlling indoctrination).

I want to get my own personal space like going on a walk, movie by myself but they always say I'll go with you. I just want some time with myself they just don't allow me

SO MUCH THIS!! My parents hacked my emails, locked up my cell phone trying to snoop, rummaged through my room, stood outside my room while I was on the phone. If i went outside on the porch, they would go in the attic over the porch to hear it. I am almost certain that they put listening devices in my car or phone, bc they knew of details I only ever discussed with one person one time. I couldn't keep a journal, or even attempt to use a computer that wasn't mine bc they would investigate the browser history and documents. They would use mindboggling amounts of food I bought for single meals, and gripe if i took the small amounts of "family" groceries. My father more recently put me on speaker phone to intentionally trigger me and establish how "crazy" I am to his peers.

What do I do to get my mother to understand my needs for personal space? I tell her every week: Mom, I'm almost 40 years old, I NEED my own space. I will not be available this weekend. When weekend comes: Your dads tv died. can you come and fix it?... "your grandma got problems.. " "I can't do XYZ on my own.. " "I can pick up you.. and rive you home".. and then they make me spend the whole day forsaking myself. What do I do? I'm constantly moody, snapping a lot and I feel that I'm about to explode.

My mom suspected I relapsed so when I left the house she went in my room and took the bad stuff out of my room. Is this protecting me or is this a violation of my privacy even though I'm in her house. I know this is a tough one
