The Quest Of The Aquatic Slugcat

Onwards to the next new playable slugcat in Rain World: Downpour, this time its Rivulet. Rivulet is an evolved slugcat that is able to swim for long periods of time, as well as move very quickly and easily out maneuver other creatures. They are also adorable. However, this slugcat has to deal with shortened days, and probably the worst area ever in the game.

Ah, the age old Rain World experience. Exploring every inch of a new area only to find out that either progress was the one room you skipped near the start, or it's something far out of the way that you can only do later. My heart especially goes out to anyone who went to the depths before five pebbles as survivor or monk.

I adored this story, it felt so wholesome to see the two of them finally forgive each other and move on, and the fact that Moon gave Ruffles an actual name is absolutely precious.

Skurry should totally do a rain world bingo. I understand some aversion to doing entertaining challenge runs in this difficult of a game, but the accessibility remix can provide might help a lot! I just love seeing more fun rain world content on the platform lol

20:16 yes because the structures are the reason for the rain. they pump out maassive amounts of water as a byproduct of them working.
also slight lore(?) spoilers:
Rivulet is the second last slugcat in the timeline, Saint is the last and plays a time after Rivulet. but skurry will see that hopefully soon enough. man i hope when skurry does Saint they go back to visit 5P and Moon before going into Depths...

Watching the full VOD for Pebbles's area was an experience. This video can't express the relief I felt (vicariously) when Skur finally went back into Linear Rail after missing the popup the first time.
