“It’s a underwater level in a monkey platformer, don’t go too crazy”

Threw some waterproof earbuds on and a snorkel and went down to the river and swam around with this music

Its Christmas 1994. I got this for my SNES. We went to stay with some family friends and my friend got this for Christmas too and we spent 2 days playing this and watching movies. My granddads cancer had come back and he hadnt told us yet. Life was good.

I'm on a 5g mushroom trip rn after a heavy breakup. And I'm crying. I'm a 27 year old man. This song is a glimpse into heaven. Shout out to my grandma

This is my mom's favorite video game. She'd always stay up late with me trying to beat the minecart level. We only made it to the snow world once, but ran out of lives before the save point. I want to finish it one day for her.

Update 10/12/2024: My mom is doing just fine, and we beat the game together playing it on Switch Online!

I don’t think people truly understand the chokehold nostalgia can have on a person. Sounds, music, smells, foods. It all just transports us back to happier, simpler times. And this song does it.

David Wise is a genius. He could have made it a simple 30 second repeating loop but It's like he wrote it like a symphony composition and made it work on the SNES. You can hear the string section and the leads doing the lords work

I actually met David Wise at a developer's event in Manchester, where he played a soulful rendition of this live using a saxophone. He had to do all his own audio mixing due to a shortage of staff, and yet it still brought me to tears. Super talented guy.

Nearly 30 years later, at 38 years old, my heart still slips a beat when I hear this. The sound of 100 million memories with all my friends. I miss those days so much. I miss you guys.

Whenever im struggling with mental health i take a day off work go to my bathroom and play this song while in the bathtub. It takes me back to a time when my mom wasn't in the hospital and i had family left. To those warm summer nights when me and my mom would set down and play this together. This has been here for so many people. Such a timeless piece of art. Wishing you all love and happiness.

Sometimes David Wise's music just has this beautiful loneliness to it. The tone has a deep longing ache, but it's still so free and sublime.

U know as as a kid most of us probably didn't appreciate any games soundtrack. As an adult when going back u realize that a games music was like half of the experience. You just appreciate it even more l.

I've been listening to this song for a while. It's probably one of the most beautiful soundtracks in a game. I feel like it captures the beauty, the terror, and intriguing nature of the ocean. It's such a beautiful place yet so mysterious. The fact that someone could capture these intense qualities of the ocean in one song is truly an amazing feat.

This Man went in the studio and put his heart and soul into this song and I hear this every time I need some motivation and this is one of those songs that you can’t go a day without listening to it.

Not many people are aware of the amount of effort you put in creating this. Thanks for your work.

This song has so much meaning to me. The memories of me and my mom playing this game together, over and over. One of the very few games she enjoyed.
Sadly she passed away when I was 18. We had like a "funeral party", and I had to chose a song that plays when all of us walked into the church. It was this song that I chose, an emotional roller coaster. I don't even know why I'm typing this in a Youtube comment section.

Anyways, regardless of my story, this is a beautiful song.
