Actually in school in Spanish, they teach you that the Americas is actually one continent. The division is done more recent due to political influence. But we're 1 continent, 1 soul. Thank you for your cool video!!

Jim Thorpe should absolutely be “felt bad for.” It was not because “he was just the only one who didn’t lie.” He was discriminated against all along the way because he was Native American. Kind of a sad part of history to mention but breeze over. In general love your videos, though.

That 2002 Salt Lake City Opening Ceremony still gives me chills. Esp the national anthem performance.

France, along with Spain, Portugal, Italy and Latin America subscribe to the five continent school of geography. That´s why there are five rings on the Olympic flag: Oceania (blue), Africa (black), Europe (red), Asia (yellow) America green).

I’ve always found it absolutely ridiculous how St. Louis and Atlanta have hosted Olympic Games before cities like New York, Istanbul or Madrid. Especially Istanbul which is one of the most historic cities in human history given its place in the Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman Empires. Like imagine St. Louis, Missouri over a city like that??

Awesome video. Would love to see a video about the World Cup. It seems not enough Americans are familiar with it.

Hi. Great video. I am making a video of my own for English language learners. I was wondering if you ran into any copyright issues given that you used footage from the Olympics

The first Olympics was held in Greece in 776 BC then transferred to the Philippines the next year...

I love this channel and its purpose. I just really wish the content was better vetted? The anecdote about Hitler isn't entirely true. Why teach history if not fully factual?
A month after the Olympic Games,  Owens told a crowd, “Hitler didn’t snub me—it was [Roosevelt] who snubbed me."
