Consider These Things Before Buying a Toyota Supra

After owning my Toyota Supra for the last few months, I thought I would share things I think new buyers should be aware about before buying the car. In many ways, none of these are deal breakers. Just small things for you to think through.

I have a 2023 Supra and none of the things that you mentioned are an issue for me. Of course, I'm 5'4" and I just pop in and out. I found the visability is good and it is comfortable. The bottom line is, as you mentioned, a performance car and some may find the issues you mentioned an inconvenience. I own the CCC Music Company and International Music Syndicate and found the sound system on "my" Supra very nice. I am big into sound and quality. Of course, I rarely use the audio as I enjoy hearing the motor. This is a great review.

I've covered all the fake vents with fiber carbon, and it frankly looks AWESOME!

Ventus makes a great item that stops thev wind buffering when driving with the windows open. Completely solved the problem.

2020 doesn’t have oil consumption, but starting 2021 do

Want something reliable and fun what do y’all think about a type R 2022/23 for a good daily ?

Excellent! Im not buy that car. I don't think its ok to have to do this stuff to a brand new car. Burning oil forget about it. Low oil possibility of destroying engine. It takes alot of balls to sell a car like this to the public. Great information. Thank you.

Your video has some great points but I can't help to notice your 0-60 times are slower than other people's

Back in the day we could check the engine oil and transmission fluid manually. Relying on engine oil light is insane. Thanks again.

I had that oil issue in my 21. Started added about one quart every 2k to 3k miles

I’m 6’4 and have no issues getting in and out of the car, it’s comfortable, and I’m not a skinny guy either. The audio is fine, you’re really over exaggerating it, turn off the fake engine noise.

No hate, just genuinely curious. Why is the 0-60 so slow on yours? It should be high 3s to sub 4 sec 0-60

Hey Austin, love your content on the 2022 Supra. I just got a 2022 Supra and loving it so far. Was there a specific reason you went with an automatic instead of waiting for a 2023 manual? I daily drive mine in traffic so I went with an automatic but I feel a manual would have been fine especially in terms with holding its value. What are your thoughts?

My stock tires lasted literally 12 months, 11k miles. 😅

I've only heard good buyer reviews for BMW on the internet I have several friends on BMW and I've never heard a positive story from any of them

I see scratches on my door paint as people's shoes hit the paint getting out of the car 😢

Good notes! The tire popping thing is weird! What’s the general thinking about cause? Also - after driving this and comparing to other cars you’ve had do you think this is overpriced?

2:39 how many tires have you popped and what specifically about the Supra caused the tire to pop? Please explain.

From what I have heard, there is no Android Auto on this car, only Apple Car Play. And on top of that it's not wireless. That's a deal breaker for me.

Thanks for the video, Austin!

Since you've looked at a lot of cars, any recommendations for a fun daily driver? Been thinking about picking up a new daily next year, so that I can leave the Ridgeline home for the wife (since she works from home). As it is now, she's left without a car whenever I'm at work. She does have the Saturn Sky, but like my Camaro, that's just a weekend, nice weather car, and in fact it is put away for the winter right now, along with the Camaro. Since I'm planning on keeping the Camaro, I don't need an outright sports car, but still would like something fun to drive. Right now I'm thinking about a Mazda 3 hatch (for more towards the luxury side), or a WRX (if I go the more sporty route). Looking to keep it around $30-$35k, and whatever I choose would have a manual transmission. Do you have any other suggestions based on what you've looked at during your car searches?
